Nice start m8, just wondering what style of rifle your gona be making? Is it you classic CS style Police marksman or you full on Ghillied sniper? Would be nice to see the second for a change. I'm a bit confused why you have two windage/elevation turret sets as there is normally only one set between the scope mounts.

Yeah. Finally. Took me long enough.

And it has 2 sight controls because its sapposed to be a mecha sniper.. i figured the more do dads and accuracy it can have the better. because a mech wont make the same mistakes a person will...

Got rid of one set of sighting dials.

Started work on the stock. Very rough right now. But it should clean up later.

Another update. got a lot done but still... the trigger gaurd and main assemply of the rifle i dont like... but the trigger gaurd is an easy fix. I cant figure out how to give the bottom section of the stock a harder edge... i know people usually want softer, but i actually want a harder edge.

I showed it to the guy im making it for(as a favor), the only problem he could see is i made it as a left handed rifle... grr... stupid ambidextrous...

But i dont think its somethign major enough to concern with.

What do you think?

I know this post is mostly dead, but I still have a question. How do you tell the difference in left or right handed rifle?

Usually its based on which side the brass ejection is located on.

Theres problems now for Left handed american soldiers in afganistan and Iraq when a left handed soldier shoots a riffle while prone some of the brass flies onto their backs and can give some nast burns.

Shotguns have the same problem.

Right handed riffles= Right hand on trigger, left hand stableizing weapon. Ejection on right side(to throw brass away from user.

Left handed weapons are opposite.

Yeah it looks nice. But about that left- and right- handed, wouldn't this be a right handed weapon, because on a left handed weapon the brass ejection would be on the left side, and here I can't see it on the left (so must be on the right --> right-handed). Might be me, but I was just wondering user added image .
Also the body is a bit solid I guess. Maybe a little lighter, I imagine this would be a very very heavy weapon to be a sniper rifle.
Butother than that, nice job user added image .
