Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Like this image shows the proper sized PNVS.. oh yeah, the PNVS is the turret on top of the two lower TADS turrets.

thanks for the pics guys... the webbcreativearts i'm working on the tail at the moment thanks heaps for those pics. Do you actualy get to see these heles in iraq? Damit cause i'm think bout joining the airforce being a aircraft maintenance engineer. Anyways i also tried to make the PNVS bigger at the frount but i think i will need to remake it cause when i start moving stuff round it deforms itself into sumthink real nasty. Will go back and fix the tail, engines and other stuff once i have finished the weapons in the tutorial. Heres after part 25... do you think you could please get me a clearer shot of the tail, other one isn't that clear to me user added image
Cheers

I work on the Longbow at Fort Rucker, Alabama.. the Aviation Flight School.. I'm an avionics Technician and work on both the FCR and non-FCR versions.

A pretty sweet aircraft as long as they're not broke... heh heh.. here is one I found real quick... funny, I work on them and don't have any pictures.. grin.. did get a Boeing calendar recently..

oh, quick note on you posted model.. there should be a "collar" between your PNVS and the TADS.. it's part of the TTI Assembly (TADS Turret Interface), basically the part at the nose that the PNVS and TADS Turrets attach to.

If you build in the collar, then that should raise the PNVS up to where it should look normal. See how low it sits in reference to the CPG Compartment?

Also, your rocket pods and missile mounts are a bit too large, which makes your pylon mounting "wings" look way too big in proportion to the main nacelle.

Hey meredith, I get to see these appache heli's all the time, I see these, lots of black hawks, and few schinooks, I have flown in all but an appachie which I think would be the most kick butt ride out here. any ways the special forces also uses what they call a scorpion which is just a small heli, but very manuverable. your appachie is looking real good keep up the great work!!

Till next time

The clay render could use more light.. also the OAS tube, that spike on top, could stand to be about 1/2 to 1/3rd the height it is.. glad to see you are sticking with it over time.

As a small daily trivia nitpick, your rocket pod and missile pylon is in flight stow mode... when they have wheels on the ground those two items will level out flat.

some animation help

thanks heaps man... Thats awsome how the missiles level when the wheels land!
I need some help with the animation. pritty much i have made the rotors (throttle) work. Also i have made the curve for the apache to follow. But when i go into the attrabutes of the apache motion curve. the uv imputs start at 0 and go to 1.5 instead of 4. So it realy mucks up the exaluration of the apache cause it gets stuck on the end of the curve for ages. Could someone please help me out!
Cheers
