Soccer Ball In Maya

I am trying to model a soccer ball in maya. Need Help. How do you make pentagon and hexagon?

if you have the version 7 it is in the polygon menu.

otherwise create a polygon cilinder then go to channel box
click on INPUTS -> polycilinder -> subdivision axis and give
5 for a pentagonal prism or 6 for for a exagonal prism.
then delete the faces that are not good.

Thankx for your reply. Your instruction works great but I am still stuck. How do I apply those pentagon and hexagon to form a complete soccer ball.

hi Kiran Limbu,

I hope that you have resolved the problem, however the only thing that comes me to mind is that to use a sphere (poly, nurb) as reference and with the snap to move your polygons to form the ball. however I hope that someone with more experience than me can respond you.
