Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

I've started texturing today. Also i removed the banana leafs from the floor. I think the green colour wouldnt fit at all in the final image. I will place some kind of animal skin/fur instead.
Still gonna add some details...

I have to say, if i could have my office in a tree house, that'd be pretty sweet.

Thanks Mike.

So, I've almost finished Texturing, only the trees are left.
They will take a little longer because I'm going to sculpt them in Zbrush and probably also paint them in there.
Here are a few screenshots:

Yeah would be cool indeed user added image

So finally i have some free time again to continue. Hope it will be enough time to finish my entry. Anyway, i did a first quick render to show you what I'm looking for. Not GI, FG or other fancy stuff, just 3 lights + raytracing. This is the first render, so obviously alot of tweaking is needed. I still can't decide whether I'll use GI or just fake it to save render time.

that last render is really dark but all your other images look mean as

that's a "Ch" pronounced as a "K"

My Macbook screen is not calibrated in windows. Now in Mac OS X i see how dark it is...
But anyway, now you now that i want a Night/Dawn scene. But this turned out really dark o.O Maybe I'll do a night and a day scene...

edit: And i just noticed that i forgot to put a gamma correction on the camera, since I'm working linear. Also I'll probably render the final passes in 32-bit so i have enough room for compositing.

Roman

Finally after a few days of testing around night and day scenes, I've come up with a light setup i acutally like.
Plan for today: lots of tweaking and starting the final renders! user added image
