new tech

I am in desperate need of a new Video card and have heard allot of good things about the Fire GL. My question is do the make one that is not for a workstation? I actually bought one off of ebay and found out the hard way that it would not work on my
MSI 875p Mo Bo.
I have also herd a rumor that some sort of graphic card would be coming out within the next few Weeks that would pretty much revolutionize video cards. Has anyone heard anything or is this just a story to make me go to sleep at night?

CCI express is what this new tech is called, sounds like it wont be AGP compatible thoe. But mabey not?? Intersting no doubt.
