Default Shader morphing

hi all,

an odd question maybe, but here goes:

is there anything like shader morphing in Maya - for example to make a marble shader morphe into a glass shader over time?

try using a layered shader.. then key the layers transparancy from layer1 to layer2

not quite sure if thats the way to do it, but try it out
