Nurbs texturing

Hi!

Is there any way to texture a Nurb cylinder with cylindrical mapping like you can do it with Polygons??
Everytime I attach my texture to the cylinder, it doesn't fit my object. How can I adjust the texture on a nurb surface??

Best Regards

Yup!

After you have created your Material type, (blinn, phong etc.) click on the checkered box next to the COLOR slider, and that will bring up the "Create Texture Node" window.

Click on the "Textures" tab, and there will be 3 choices for mapping type:
1. Normal
2. AS PROJECTION <----
3. as stencil

In your case, you will want to choose "As Projection".

THEN, choose your texture, (File, Turbulence, Checker etc.).

After you choose a texture, the Attribute Editor for your projection will be visible.

Under Projection Attributes, you can now choose a projection type from the "Proj. Type" drop-down menu. (planar, cylindrical etc.)

There are MANY ways to tweak the placement of your projected texture, and for that, you will want to hit "F1" on your keyboard to bring up the Library, and choose Rendering for texturing help, or do a Library search for "projection" and/or "nurbs".

good luck!
