Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

manipulating a surface map

I am curious how you can manipulate textures on a nerbs surface other than using projection. Projection seems to warp and distort my textures as it is just "projecting" the texture onto the surface. Any insight or advice on how to texture a nurbs surface the best would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a million.

Im not too sure about NURBS. But you can go to Modify>Convert>NURBS to Polys. Then use the options in the Edit Polygons>Textruing menu. When your done, go to Modify>Convert>polys to subd's. Press 3 on the key board.

hope that helps.
