Default How do I render displacement maps without losing the detail?

I've being doing some displacement maps on nurbs surfaces. I realize that I need to convert this to a polygon if I want to rend it in MayaVector.

How do I convert a complex Nurbs surface to a Polgon without losing the curves and the detail?



.........Also, I am trying to create a wireframe keyframe animation of a single surface using various levels of displacement applied to the surface. Do I set MayaVector to SWF, then batch render it in the normal way?

Is this possible? Any ideas how?
