Texturing House ??

Hey i dunno if this should go here but it's my 1st post so wat the hell
im just started maya and i been goin through loads of tutorials but theres 1 ting i cant get
im tryin 2 build this house as a learrnin curve for me but my problem is wen i textured 1 thing everything came out the same texture wen i IPR renderd it ?? pleaz help ??user added image user added image

Are the objects seperate objects or are you trying to texture one face of your house? You cannot texture only one face as far as I know. One thing that might have happened is that when you modified the texture on one thing, it did it to another thing b/c the second object was a copy of the first. After you duplicate objects, you must assign a new material to it. You should be able to see all the textures before the rendering takes place excluding things like fire and glows. Perhaps if you press 6 and display the textures in the scene view, you can figure it out.

Actually it is possibel to texture each face. Makes sure all your materials are set up in hypershade, then choose only the face you want textured.
Next in hypershade right click on the material you want to apply yo oyur face and select "apply material to selection" (or something like that).
