compress rar file

i made a rar file so i can put my video in my threat.but my file is still too large. how can i compress it.how can i use codec.

What did you save your video in?

If Cinepak or something -- use DivX. There are various ways to do it, can someone else field it?

ok i just changed the extension for divx but it doesnt change the size of the file.i really dont know howe to reduce the size of the file.can someone explain me step by step please.user added image
