Default Texturing a Tennis Ball - Fuzzy

I have successfully modeled and textured a Tennis ball, but I'm missing the
Fuzz on it. Could somebody help my with easiest way to create the Fuzz?

fur, with the texture in the color channels.

Could somone be a little more spacific? and give me some quick steps on how to achieve this? I'm still a beginner and learning.

Think you could also use a antriscopic (sorry if its well out with the spelling) to create a fuzzy effect, have a search on google for creating a velvet material in maya.
