Shaky Home-style Camera

How can I simulate the home-style shaky camera movement? Is this something that would be MEL scripted, or is there an easier alternative? I've tried keyframing shaky movement, but it always turns out.... um, different. If anyone knows an easier method, please post here. user added image

Thanks in advance. user added image

hmm...you should writte an expressions for the camra or target object if it has one.

See under the expression functions you got noise function, hermite and some step functions.

They should do the job!
No, they will do the job!

But make sure you parent or group it under some transform node like locator cuz expressions once are written on attributes wont let you set keys on them.

Hope it helps if you have more questions be free to ask.

ok I had some time to do a quick example...
You can tweak and add values to expressions if you like to get more accurate behavior.
Its Maya 6.0 *.mb file

I hope it helps
