This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

connecting to polygons

can anyone tell me how to combine two polgons together...what i did was select one then the other while holding shift but one is green and the other is white and then i go to booleans and press union but it tells me that two must be select in order for the operation to work???? weird i dont know help please

Booleans are used to interpret suface overlaps, not to actually join or generate new geometry.

Select both then go to the menu POLYGONS-> COMBINE

then they will be 1 object. Note that you will still have to merge the verticies that touch when you put them together.
