nurbs to polygon

when modeling a car in nurbs with all those operations like fillets and trimming there are some issues when converting to poly. trimming does not cut away surface parts but hides them. this is not being transfered to polygon. those parts just get unhidden again - well :/

how do others do with industrial things like cars which need a high amount of tangential clean surface? do others even convert it to poly in the end? I´d very much like to.

everything starts and ends in the right place at the right time.
