Compositing video in Maya

I am wondering how to composite a video in Maya.....I want to put a video file of myself (after filtering the green screen in Adobe After Effects) in a room I modeled. Would I use an image plane?

well usually you just do the compositing in after effects... using a background shader to create shadows where you need them in the live video (after creating a mock object to receive the shadows where your object in the live video is) then you just composite the rendered frames (using the alpha) on top of (or behind, depending on what you're doing) in after effects.
