Default 3d Wireframe views

When I'm working in Maya my view is set so it shows the Isoparm(for NURBs) all the way around the object. How can I make it so it is a 2d wireframe view so when using the control vertex is a lot easier and doesnt jumble everything up? Thanks for the help.
