Default 8.5 shading problem

Hi,

I'm following a few video tutorials of Maya and I notice my scene in maya is very slow when I orbit around the view compared to the scenes in the videos. I have '256mb ATI Radeon X1300Pro' And I think it's a good enough video card.

Is there setting that I need to change?
I'm using..8.5 by the way. Could that be a problem?

Help me please~!

Thanks.
