This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

System link for rendering?

I think I remember reading somewhere that you can link 1 or more computers to your box (ethernet/network?) and use the other computer's CPU when rendering from your own machine.

Search engine's aren't helping me find an answer--probably because I'm not sure exactly what I'm looking for.

Any help?

I think what you are after is a render farm.
