Maya Tool Weird Graphics

Sometimes when I use certain tools like rotate or extrude these weird shapes appear on top of the manipulators and I can't see anything. I'm using Maya 2008 on XP. Any ideas?

Hmm dunno really, maybe graphics card drivers???

How do you see your menus with that colour combination??

After reinstalling the drivers the problem was gone. The color thing was something I was messin around with. I'll probably go back to blue or something.
