Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

ofcourse i know you can make trees with paint fx, but I want to make a unique tree. Actually i saw a tutorial explaining how to do it with particles, but at the end you needed a texture with an alpha channel to make it work, and I didn't have any idea where to get one.

Great resource: https://seek.autodesk.com/search/xfro...s&resetft=true

They have multiple file formats, and you can even search by climate, location, etc. Great for projects where you need some indigenous vegetation.

Also, in the paint effects directory in the Maya app folders, there are alpha-mapped leaf textures as well.

Hi guys, here is our collection of leaves that we want to draw for schools and educational projects. We will draw 200 sets of leaves if the crowdfunding project succeeds. For now, 22 sets with 66 illustrations of spring, summer and autumn versions of leaves are done. They are all available under the Creative Commons License.

Thank you for the links, especially the leaves part. I've started to use this program for several months, I am still new to this process but I love it. I want to create a perfect tree while we are still on a partial quarantine, so I have a lot of free time in my property in Greece
