Default How can i change Maya's main directory?

I moved the the folder where all the shelfs and projects are to a place quicker to access them but maya still automatically goes to the old 'place' when i save/open...etc. How can i set the folder you first see then you file>open/save

you have to set projects, if you set a project and save a project somewhere, the next time you load up it will revert back to the last used project, if that doesnt work you need to change your paths, which is somewhere, cant quite remember
its recommended that you do everything in maya rather than moving and deleting stuff in explorer
