Default Rotating instanced particles

Hi guys!

I have a problem when trying to animate bullet cases coming out of a gun. If the gun is in the same position, everything is ok. However, when the gun is rotated, the bullets are not. They are coming out in the correct direction, but they are not rotated along with the gun. Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?

The cases are particles that are instanced with a NURBS model.

Basicly, I wonder if it's possible to rotate singel particles, and not all as a group.

Not sure but here's a wild guess: I wonder what happens if you rotate the original bullet model with the gun (the one you used for instancing)...

If it works you could set an orient constraint or a rotation expression to it...

I have no access to Maya right now so I'm just guessing here...

At highend, there is a script that was just released this weekend that MIGHT help you....

Do a search for: "Instancer Random Rotation v0.0"
Or on thier main maya page, it;s the 4th or 5th link down on the new scripts page...

Also K has a good point too, but I also am not in front of Maya at the moment...

I've tried to rotate the original bullet. However, now all bullets are rotated. Even those who already are in the air.

I forgot to mention that the gun is a machine gun, and a lot of bullets are supposed to be in the air at the same time

I'm a bit new to using scripts. How do I use it when it's downloaded?
