Smoothing multiple nurb objects

ok, as you can see from the screenie i have an edited nurbs cylinder with 3 more nurbs cylinders coming off it. I want to smooth the cylinders. That simple...I just want 3 cones going up, smoothly. please leave specific details if you know how to do this. Thank you

Try edit nurbs -> surface fillet -> circular fillet , with the objects selected in pairs (the large one and one of the smaller ones). You will probably have to play with the settings some.
