Pretty nice work man. I suggest turning down the light intensity a lil though and maybe have the wood not be as glossy.

Bolt handle seems a little weak, flimsy. Looks like it would just bend/snap off if you tried to use it.

Although the wood maybe a little to glossy for this. I really like the look you'v got with the shader.

Being a gun man myself.. I'd say he has the wood just right,
Most guns are high gloss finish/varnish when using real woor stocks and or grips, unless the owner specifically goes for a different look..

As well, The vast majority of guns owned by individuals, unless they lack common sence.. will at all times look like they are band new, shiney, oily, glossy.. .. PErsonally i htink its good work myself.. cant say much about the bolt.. cant see it that well myself..

Turn down the reflectivity/specularity on the gun stock. It's made of wood, not plastic. (or is it.. Hrmmmmm. ) user added image

Nice looking model, I would agree that it is a bit too shiny and the bolt handle is a bit on the thin side. Also the scope is missing windage and elevation turrents. Looking good thou.
