AUG/SEP - Norm Surfermcd

Hi Ya

I'm entering this a wee bit late so I'm gona have to
move my butt to actually get this finished. (I hope I
make the deadline.) I thought that I like designing
really small looking things so I came up with a
Microsaurus Rex. I did a quick sketch and liked the
concept so I thought yeah! I will try this thing! So
here is the sketch. My next step is to take it into
Adobe illustrator and get the feel right.
SWEET!

Hey thanks for all the positive feedback on the sketch. It makes you wanna keep going when people inspire you. Man some of the other projects in this challenge are excellent.

Here is the illustrator schematics for the little dino - rat (as someone put it. ha ha sounds cool.) I also did a mock image of how it may look. Now dont hold your breath because I have always been better at concepts than at the actual maya thing. I hope I can build this freakin thing! HA HA!

enjoy!

Do I work in concept art?
ooooo I wish! I have just finished doing study and I work for a large corporation doing template websites - BORING - I do a little freelance illustration and I try to animate in my free time.

I tried to do the modeling last night and did not get very far using polys so I might have to go over the tutorials from this site again. Oooo feeling the pressure.

Sweet concept...

You have me wanting to model him hehhe Maybe I can get Kev to run a contest for members to make a character and the winning member will get the concept modeled by me...

That'd would be cool.

Nice concept. But the side view looks more like it's head it turned.
