Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

ok

im thinkin of going along the lines of a robot that can do many things at once, im taking the 4 mechanical arms of doc oc from spiderman 2 and going to add them to a robot

not sure if its much of a good idea or not, but, yauser added image

good idea. try not to make the doc oc arms and claws like they are in the movie. try and make them different.

i already did, lol, im probably gonna make the textures totally different to make them seem more like NOT doc ock, LOL

an anime mech, in my opinion, is a robotron, humanoid mech. This should be fine.

the box under the eye(shield wat ever u wanna call it) will have extending arms that can grab thiefs and even cats off of treesuser added image

heres the sketch i modified, i already kno wat i have to do from here, when i model it the ball joint for the leg, has to be bigger

im gonna make the shape of the body more like an egg shape than the one in my sketches, it looks more modern

maybe u can make the feet a bit more rugged. It's like it walks on knobbed shoes like a footbal player. user added image
Maybe you can get some inspiration from Star Wars its ATPT walker (follow this link).
The walker's legs and feet are well designed for this kinda model.
