rendering problem 2x instead of once

i'm using maya 7.0 for windows
i'm unsure why the maya i have renders two times instead of once.
everytime when i would try to render one of my camera, maya would render the perspective first then my camera. this is very annoying especially when i have lots of frames.
i did in the render setting/global setting set for maya to render my camera.

The perspective camera is set to render by default so it will always render in addition to any cam you create. Open up the attribute editor for the perspective camera and look for a checkbox that is ticked for renderable...un-tick it. Now, the other camera will be the only one that renders.
