FK <=> IK Switch

Ok, I have a rig that is almost done. I'm learning by Carlo Sansonetti tutorial.
I have FK/IK switch feature in my rig that is working fine. But there is one thing I can't understand:

When I'm in IK mode I move my IK curve control object forward and the leg moving as well.
But when I'm switching to FK mode the leg returns to it's initial position. So If I'm
switching backward to IK mode the leg will move to the forward position over again.

Is it normal? This is not what I expected for. I've supposed that attitude (position)
of my leg should not be changed during FK <=> IK Switch.
