modeling

i posted this in the tut section but i think it can go here also in the makeing a simple human form tut he says make sure ur on the modeling config i dnt have that!!! i have maya 2008 and all full but i dnt have it i even tried to make it but i dnt have the polygons option or the edit polygons option PLZZZZZZZZZZZZ HELP:headbang:

Think you need to select polygons under the selection tab where you pick what you are doing animation, polygons, sufaces etc. The polygons option will probably be under the mesh tab and the edit polygons is under the edit mesh tab I think.

dude you seriously need to read the FAQ section and look at maya's help files. some of the stuff you ask about is pretty simple to find if you just take a few minutes to do a search in the help files or search the forums for a previous thread dealing with the same topic.
