Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Zombie Subdivs Cracks? Help?

Okay, well, this may be a newbie question, but bare with me.

I was using the Zombie tutorial, and I was wondering -- when I convert from nurbs to poly to subdivs, and then try to move the verteses in subdivs, I start getting little cracks where the seams/lines on the subdiv model. I don't know what I'm doing or if my settings are correct...

If you could help I'd appreciate it!

(Oh, and does anyone know how to take screen shots on a Macintosh lab?)

Sounds like your vertices have to be merged.

Meaning in poly I missed merging some of the verteses when I was attaching surfacing?

Thanks so much!
