Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Help with Paint Effects Mesh Direction

I'm trying to paint water droplets onto a surface and there seems to be a setting somewhere that's stuffing me up.

At work when I started playing around with this effect the water droplets were assuming the direction of the object's surface normals, which is the only way it's ever going to look right.

At home however the droplets are folling the curve dicrection, so basically they're coming up sideways on the surface, and I can't figure out anywhere I can set this differently.

Sorry for such a simple question here...

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

I consist of mostly water.

there's probably an up vector setting somwhere that you can change to affect the orientation.
