This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

I thought the trailer was awful, the CG was just so bad it was like something from another fx era. And Nick Cage is always a bad choice for a hero, he was considered as Superman at one point, yew!!

I dunno man.. I agree Nick as superman.. screwed up.. but.. HE has the same attitude as Blaze has, or atleast portrays that atitude well on screen anyway..

I think the effects are cool, while i do agree they look like there from ..somewher else... Lets imagine what we have to work with as well.. A flameing skeleton on a flameing motor cycle, with flameing chains.. Not really much we can judge that by aside form our own minds eye for said effects.. the only part of the effects i didnt like so much were the flemes themselves.. they did seem very, CG.. MAybe when i do my renders in a few months after the modeling and such.. i can fix that problem..Heh..

anyway, off to Ds9..

terrific job.

fast work too.

texturing this beast will take probably twice as long to do well. but you can pull it off.

can you post some wires?

how much of the main body peice are seperate geometry?

cant wait to see your next model.

All of the major peices are seperate Geo,
I.E. the outer docking ring is 3 peices righ tnow, same for the inneer docking ring, each of the docking pylons are 2 seperate peices, and the docking ring support as well is its own seperate peice, i'm going to to leave them that way for Texturing purposes probably so i can just lay the uv's out once, unstead of three times..
there are a crap load of smaller geometry peaces for all the small detail, all parented to the larger geometry for easier duplication aroudn teh model..
I'll post a few wires tomorrow when i get off work

Yeah - fantastic model Legend - this is really looking cool - it's good to see it all come together and should look awesome once you start texturing.
