why 3ds max

lol sorry if my title is confusing but it's just so depressing to seee so many 3ds max VTM's (video tuts) but so little of maya's..
in a site for example there were 40 max video tuts but only 5 of maya's... wth?

o and if u can put up a link for maya tuts that'd be cool

:p

sorry m8. This site is the best for Maya (not only the video tuts but the forum people as well :p). What I'm pointing out though is why majority, but not all, of 3d sites 'favor', I should say, 3ds max in terms of VTM's, models, shaders and the like.

PS SimplyMaya rox

PSS What's the _ in _J for?

Yeah sure I understand.

the only site for me that is really Max based is 3d total. Hence their dvds are MAX

3d buzz is very Maya orientated, moreso than max though it covers it.

Digital Tutors- I cant even see a max tute there...

Gnomon Workshop arent Max biased either, they have a wide range of everything, but they have more Maya than Max tutes available.

so Im not sure entirely who is doing more MAx tutes, whereas these guys are pretty much the dudes in the fore right now in terms of content.
