Good start.
Topology is looking cool but hard to say with out wireframes.

neck looks very thick and noise shape needs some tweaking - . But my main problem at the mo is that its looking more like a male right now - maybe it the noise and neck.

come to think of it, a female link wouldn't be much different to the normal link just with female parts seeing as how he's a pretty feminine character already.
what if you mixed him with another character from another game like fox or falco

that's a "Ch" pronounced as a "K"

Computer skills I should have:
Objective C, C#, Java, MEL. Python, C++, XML, JavaScript, XSLT, HTML, SQL, CSS, FXScript, Clips, SOAR, ActionScript, OpenGL, DirectX
Maya, XSI, Photoshop, AfterEffects, Motion, Illustrator, Flash, Swift3D

Propably I'm going to mix him with a leopard.
I don't know the game starfox and this reminds me a little bit at zelda twilight princess.
So I choose the leopardish version of link.

Im really sorry for being away - but I got a 3d job for school - so I'm really happy. And I got a lot of time to think about my challenge ideas. Afterwards I don't really like them. I searched the half day for a suitable gamecharacter. I got the idea while playing old Final Fantasy games. I am going to choose the black mage from FF1. Yeah - this will be my final descition ;-).
Because of my Holidays - I will have a lot of time - modeling him out.:-D
