This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

inserting isoparms

hi, I just finished the 1st part of the shark tutorial. Now I noticed something strange while moving isoparms just before actually inserting them with that button.

while moving one, it creates like a trail of them, making it harder to see where mine is actually at.

anyone know how to solve this? I presume it has something to do with videosettings.

I have athlon XP 2200->2400, 1GB DDR, Geforce 4 4800 (like the 4400).

I placed the arrow on the pic to show you in what way I moved the isoparm.

You might want to look at others drivers. I've been using a geforce 4 recently and don't get that problem.

I just updated drivers to 44.03 and I still get the same problem.

A guy on cgtalk said to check the isoparms settings, where can I find those?

I-Iybrid, yeah I get them there too.

rightclick on desktop, properties, settings, advanced, the outer right tab there (with nvidia cards it gives the name of your card) try some of the menus. most likely it'll be a slider that you can turn to the left for off.

antialiasing is making the corners of a 3D object sharper, by rendering it in higher resolution than the rest of the game.
eg: you play in 1024*768, but the corners of a model are rendered in 1600*1200 wich makes it look much smoother.
