Extrude tool (problem with)

Hi, i'm just starting with maya, and i've got big problem with extrude tool, the point is i can't edit or even select extruding faces, it's look like big blue cube without any segments (i extrude front face twice), below i paste link with screen:

Double click on your extrude tool, and make sure divisions is set to 1.

Thank you for your help user added image you're right, i've got 100 divisions
