Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Hardware Isuues

HI Guys!

I am gonna buy a new system & I have a few questions!

I will try to put em all here:

1.Is there a motherboard from intel that has slots for both , agp & pcixpress?

2.When buying a pciexpress card what has more significance...ie. Is a card with higher speed but 128mb better or one with slightly slower speed but 256mb more value for money?

3.I was thinking betwen 3 cards a)chaintech nvidia5700fx 256mb pciexpress card costing some 170$ or a b)ati radeon 300se pci exexpress 12bmb or c)3d labs wildcat vp880 pro costing some 350$.

What I mean is what is value for money!

If I am willing to spend that much what should I go for nvidia(pcx), ati(pcx) or 3dlabs(agp)

I know its too many questions ..user added image

Thx a lot!

Well....it depends really what this machine's primary duties are going to be....if it's gaming the buy the Geforce (Personal Preference....)...if it's going to be design related....then buy the Wildcat....user added image

About the AGP/PCIExpress question.....go PCIExpress....with this new standard, AGP is going to be a dying breed
