subway car

this is my start on a subway car that i should have completed by the end of next week.
going for an older school subway car that isn't too modern and has some old style subway class.

havent started the doors or windows yet, and im undecided about what style lights im going to use for the inside.

any suggestions would be a big help!

the handles haven't been positioned yet, they are kinda just mocked up to get the idea. i will likely have more and they will all be in front of the benches

here is my update, still a ton of work to do

what do you guys think so far?

(this is my first time texturing an object using a homemade texture.)
im trying to make it look like a bit of an oldschool sub car.

i didn't turn on the rest of the benches in case you were wondering, there are many more benches and bars and handles.

any sugestions for texture help?

i still have to texture the bench and the windows and doors

looking at that first image, damn this bad boy has come a long way

If you wanna get ot really oldschool, I'd suggest getting it really dirty and worn, and get loads of grafitti in there... Other than that, I think it looks great user added image

the frames that are going around the window and doors are too thick, and stick out way too far. also the textures seem to be alittle off, dunno if you are planning to change them or what.

The rails are way to white. Tone them down a bit.

the white texture is just a test texture until i actually make them chrome.
the windows look cartoonly partly because they are not textured, but i had someone else mention that too so i made them smallar anyway.

do you guys think it looks any better now?

the ground looks messed cause im trying to get a blur effect on the reflection but i lost my texture in the process

i tonned down the white some and took off the mental ray shader on the floor

i expect to remove all the green from the scene, the green is just to distinguish the different details. and tonite ill make the rails chrome and do the window sils and finish the back door and windows.
