This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

Messed up view...

For some reason, when using the persp camera, the view gets messed up.
For example, Objects seem to be on top off other objects, intersect, etc when they do not. Sometimes SubDivs just disappear.

This is quite confusing since you need to be close up for SubDivs to see/edit them. Is this just a maya bug? And is there a way to fix this?

It renders out perfectly fine though.

here is a pic of how it looks: (none of the objects intersect when renderd)

Its no problem ^_^
I have an nvidia 8500 GT which I picked up for 100 dollars online, which was well worth it. works great with maya. also, I used to have an Nvidia 6800, which worked fine, but I highly suggest the 8500 GT, as it isnt too expensive for how great it is.
