This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.
My only suggestion would be maybe to work in a cloth feel to the canopys and parasoles. They look quite rigid as they are.
Also the lighting looks a little neutral, maybe add a more obvious 'kick' of light reflection from the sun. This also maybe the reason why the church in the background looks fake against the backdrop. Not much sence of light direction.
Very nice job with modelling and texturing though, looks like a stage set for a great performance, nice work and good luck with your short.
thanks laurie...i've been having troble fixing the right light for the scene...speacially GI photons..i cant control it..so i used the default values for the GI..tho im still fixing it...maybe i could get the right "kick of light"..=P
hehehe...ok...anyway thanks again...soon i'll play more with the photons...i been wanting that effect since the first test render i did...but i cant really get it right...i have been compromising on the render times..maybe thats why i didnt achieved what i have been looking for...anyway...update this one soon...
antiant,
thanks man...the first image didnt really have the DOF turned on..i just edited it on photosho...but on the secong image..i turned it on..and it took me almost 45 mins(an hour tops) to render a frame..tsk tsk..anyway.hope to hear more from you soon
I know... the thing is once you start to add like final gather, global illumination, motion blur etc, you render time for one frame starts at like two hours. And then it's out of the question to render a movie, unless you wanna wait for a year or so or have a render farm...
so far i havent got the chance to render a scene that big enough to render it two hours...oh!wait..i think i did...i renderec a sample image it took 7 hours of my precious time..and yet im not satisfied with the output...
laurie...mental ray does it very nicely...thanks for the comment
yep..pinoy ako..buo ang aking loob may agimat ang dugo ko..hehehe
