freelance help

hi everyone ,
Im doing a freelance job for a random employer, and during my modeling stages for this character he wants the chin to move with the mouth when it opens and closes with out any distortion of the model. Me and my partner decided to seperate polygons in order to do this, but now when we do a render the two different polygons have different shades while it renders out.
So I was woundering if anyone knows an advance tool, or has a better suggestion in doing this?

If it was me I would keep the mouth and chin as one object and make blendshapes for the speech.
