Ummm... are you allowed to use XSI? I understand taht you can use ZBrush, as ZBrush is part of the SimplyMax forums... but XSI is not part of any Simply site.

i dont think the modeling matters much as for what app is used. but i intend to use maya for rendering and rigging.

But is xsi purely a subdivision surface modeler, or does it have a poly modeling and spline modeling system too?? just wonderin

yea xsi has all sorts of modeling toolsets.

I appologise for chiming in on this vladimirjp, but you might want to read rule number 4 in the Rules and Guidelines thread reguarding what modeling Applications are acceptable for this challenge. Again, my apologies for bringing this up.

umm...i think u need to model the whole thing in maya....if u havent noticed, but this is Simplymaya, not simply xsi/maya

yea, buddy, modeling is modeling no matter what app its done in.

its not like i cant continue modeling in maya since polygons are different in maya.. they are all the same, savvy?

as i said id finish modeling and rendering in maya, comprende?

I think I agree with vlad, cuz, see, the Mountain did not say anything about it, and he checks all the time.
I'm going to be doing alot of cross-app modeling myself, so I'm not gonna say anything else.
