This is so weird

Ok,

i imported the head shell into another scene and I went to Poly then combine, then use the append tool to fill in the gaps. Well, you can see what happened. And it happened so many times, I don't get it. Why is it that the headshell suddenly bacame transparent right after I use the append tool?

Please help.
