Scale, Move and Rotate tools are awry.

I have a problem with me scale, move and rotate tools. In my top and side views, the tips of my scale and move tools are gone and my rotate tool does not appear at all when I click on it.

An example of the problem.

Anyone know how to fix that?

No, I don't mean that. In my regular view, I can see the tips. In the top, side and....other side view, I can't see them.

hehe, oops. That little thing is the scale/move tool. You know, when you select an abject and click on the move tool and the 3 way axis thing appears on the object so you can move it back and forth. If I knew how to take screenshots, I'd be able to post it here so you'd see.

Try hitting the insert key. Sounds like you're in pivot mode.

To screen capture, all you have to do is hold ALT->Then Prnt Scr, then go into any image editing software and press paste) that should do fine for the image capturing.

[mod edited]: Please keep image file sizes 640 x 480 or below as it's just a waste of bandwidth and blows the forum width out. The only exception might be if someone is linking the images from his/her own site or if it's in the finished work forum.

(reply to mod) Oh, sorry.

Change your screen back to 32 BPP, and it should fix your problem.

hmm

Try this - click on start, settings, control panel, display

now click on the settings tab up top

in the Color quality, see if you can change it to: Highest (32bit)

if you you have it set on 16bit, maya doesn't like it user added image
