Just thought I would post a little bit of good news. First stages of a water powered car. I for one would get it, think about it. Never having to go to a gas station. Fill your car up from a tap!

All you guys have to do is make sure that some big Oil company doesn't buy the technology and hide it for fear of loosing business.

theres a slight problem yet...

Q:where do you get the electrical power to make electrolisys and break H2O to H2 and O to be able to recombine them in the engine?
A:the same place most of the electrical power comes: Petrol or, even worse, coal... (hydroelectric being just a small fraction)

There have been hydrogen prototipes for decades... two bus lines in my city run on it. The guy of the news might have made advancements on containment of the Hydrogen, but the fundamental trouble its still there: Hydrogen is just a energy storage medium, you cant tap it from nowhere, you have to produce (and store) it...

Renewable energy sources arent nearly enough to power the hydrogen enconomy, so as i posted some months ago: ITER project (relatively clean fusion power) must be researched and developed into a commercially viable stage ASAP... and america should stop researching fusion bombs dressing it like fussion power plants (as Sandia currently does) and embrace the pure energy plant path.

Being the ever optimistic environmentalist I would like to think that we can start to see this sort of technology trickling down to the public where it can do some good.

Firstly let me say that I don't usually by into conspiracy theories. The concept that a government might be corrupt is nothing new to me and shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. However I was shown this by a friend and though I would watch it and tell him what I though.

I found it quite interesting and most of things were rather shocking, it basically repeats stuff that we knew at the time but with a few added bits and bobbs.

Let me know what you think.

I just re-watched Outfoxed (My first supported project on my web-site). I found it just as shocking the second time.

For those that are too busy to watch it (it's over an hour long). I took some images to highlight the issue the film was (among other things) was trying to make.

The Pipa / Knowledge Networks Poll in October 2003 asked some rather simple questions. Basic yes and no stuff.

The first was "Have we found WMD (Weapons of Mass Destruction) in Iraq?"

"Does World opinion favour the US invasion of Iraq?"

Like I said, simple stuff.

Also mention is the ratio the Democrats and Republicans on the News Channel.

This is the ratio between Republicans and Democrats on Brit Hume's Special Report.

And the final one is the ratio between Republican and Democrat Partisan guests on the same show.

So the basic conclusion was that the more you watched Fox News, the more distorted your world view and indeed your view on the facts would be. As the guy on the film said, this should be the worst thing for any self respecting journalist to hear.

P.S. On a lighter not, will England win and become top of their group in a couple of hours? I sure hope so! user added image

I heard someone quote on NPR the other day that for every three hours of conservative right wing media there is only one minute of progressive left wing media.

That would sound about right, people must remember that with Fox News (and others) you are watching opinion and not news. There is a bit difference between the two and they should not be confused with one another.

So think about that when you watch the news. Question everything and if you find that your news channel is giving out opinion rather then news you first tell them that your not happy and then go and put the truth out there. Either thought pirate radio/tv. Internet, paper anyway.

Remember, Don't hate the Media -- Become the Media :bandit:

Here are a few links to some news sites to even out the balance . . . hehehehe

People who read from only one news source get an incomplete picture. All news is distorted or tweaked for the most part, so the best way is to read diversly, if you want a complete picture of what is really going on. The Repukelickans WANT people to only rely on one source, just like they want people to only read the bible and avoid anything that contradicts it.

But if you read from only one source, and that source is but a fairy tale, where does that leave you? . . . .
