I don't think there's a fixed date for Maya 8 or even 7.5 to come out

i wonder what new tools and upgrades they will have in teh next release?

i wish maya had something like pelt mapping.

pelt mapping aint that useful unless its for another 3d painting prog like deep paint 3d or Zbrush.
