Is there a way to texture with an avi

Is there a way i can texture the font of an object with an avi or some type of movie file or sequence, im trying to render a tv playing a movie.

Yes

in Hypershade - select the material you want and press the checkerd button near the color parameter. select the "Ctreate Textures" tab and then select "Movie"
