Reflection Not Working

Hi, I am working on a character, and everything went fine until I deleted an edge and vertices with DELETE and not CTRL + DELETE. Now the reflection tool isn't working.
I tried deleting one half and mirroring the remaining half, and it didn't work, deleting history, freezing transformation but nothing works.
Please help!
