Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Move tool.... GONE?

Ok. So I was working on a animation project for class.. and was just rolling along until.. my Move Tool disappeared out of my Persp view. It shows up in the Top/Side/Front Views.. but not in Persp..

I've tried resetting the tool options.

I've also tried deleting my preferences out of the folder under \username\maya\blahblah\x64-2011\pref folder

and.. the good ole fashioned restart maya..

to no avail.. It's still not on.

try this buildNewSceneUI; type it into the script editor and execute it.

Hope it helps.

thanks for the quick reply.

the command worked but did not bring back my Move Tool into the Perspective View.

I'm really confused here, this has never happened.. it's not too small or too big.. i've even tried resizing it (+/-)

****EDIT****

I re-deleted the prefs.. this time with Maya app closed <duhhh should've done this first time>

Thanks for that the command tho!!

It's useful if you ever open someone else's scene form a different version of Maya clears up all sorts of problems.
